In plain terms: HAVYT's social features — friends, stories, shared goals, streaks and challenges — exist so people can support each other, often while dealing with pain or chronic illness. Be kind, be honest, don't play doctor, don't push anyone toward dangerous training or dieting, and treat other people's health information as private even when they share it with you. If someone breaks these rules, we act in steps — warning, content removal, suspension, termination — and you can always appeal.
This policy applies to everything you do in HAVYT that other people can see or receive: stories, friend interactions, shared goals and streaks, challenges, display names and avatars, and messages you send to our support team. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions (see especially its "Prohibited Uses" section). Where this policy and the Terms overlap, the stricter rule applies.
HAVYT's social features are deliberately small and health-adjacent: many users share streaks and goals precisely because they live with chronic pain or Ankylosing Spondylitis. That context sets the tone for these rules.
2. The Rules
2.1 No harassment, hate or abuse
No bullying, threats, intimidation, insults or targeted negativity — including mocking anyone's body, weight, fitness level, pace of progress, illness, disability or flare days.
No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, illness or age.
No sexual harassment or unwelcome sexualized content directed at other users.
2.2 No impersonation or deception
Don't impersonate other people, HAVYT, HAVYT staff, or "Emelie" (our AI coach).
Don't misrepresent who you are to gain someone's trust (e.g. fake credentials).
One account per person; don't use accounts to evade a suspension or block.
2.3 No medical advice to other users
Don't diagnose other users, tell them what medication or dosage to take (or stop), interpret their symptoms, or present yourself as their clinician — even if you are a healthcare professional; HAVYT is not a setting for clinical advice.
Sharing your own experience ("what helped me during flares…") is welcome. The line is prescribing to someone else ("stop taking X", "you definitely have Y", "you don't need a doctor").
If another user appears to be in danger (e.g. mentions self-harm), encourage them to contact emergency services (112 in the EU; in Spain the 024 helpline) and report the content to us — don't try to treat the situation yourself.
2.4 No encouraging dangerous behavior
No promoting extreme or crash dieting, disordered-eating behaviors, dangerous "detoxes", or unsafe weight-loss competition.
No pushing others to train through injury, illness or flares ("no excuses, train anyway"), to ignore pain warning signs, or to disregard medical advice.
No promoting doping, misuse of medication or supplements, or any illegal substances.
Challenges and streaks are for encouragement, not coercion. Respect that HAVYT deliberately removes pressure during flares and illness — don't reintroduce it socially.
2.5 Respect other people's health privacy
What people share in HAVYT (streaks, goals, stories, symptoms mentioned in a challenge) can reveal information about their health. Treat it as confidential.
Don't screenshot, copy, forward or publish another user's health-related information outside the app — or inside it to a wider audience — without their clear permission.
Don't speculate publicly about another user's condition, and don't out someone's illness, disability, pregnancy or other health status.
Note that under data-protection law, health data is specially protected; spreading someone else's health information can create legal liability for you, not just consequences under this policy.
2.6 No illegal or infringing content
Nothing that is illegal in Spain, in your country, or under EU law: no content infringing copyright or trademarks, no doxxing, no CSAM (reported to authorities without exception), no incitement to violence, no fraud or spam, no sale of goods or services.
Stories and avatars must not contain sexually explicit content, graphic violence or shock content.
2.7 No technical abuse
No scraping, harvesting or bulk-downloading of content or user data.
No reverse engineering, probing or circumventing security, rate limits, credit balances or age requirements (except to the narrow extent EU law permits, e.g. interoperability analysis of software).
No automation, bots or scripts interacting with social features; no attempts to manipulate the AI coach into producing content that violates this policy.
No malware, phishing links or deceptive links anywhere in the Service.
3. Tools You Have
Blocking: you can block any user; blocked users can't see your shared content or interact with you.
Reporting: report content or users via the in-app options where available, or by emailing support@havyt.app with a description (screenshots of the violating content help; see 2.5 about others' health information — reporting it to us is permitted).
Visibility controls: friends-based sharing and visibility settings decide who sees your stories, goals and streaks; stories expire after 24 hours. Defaults are private — sharing is always your choice.
We review reports as quickly as we can, prioritizing safety issues.
4. Enforcement Ladder
We enforce these rules proportionately and, where the situation allows, in escalating steps:
Warning — we tell you what rule was broken and what to change.
Content removal — we remove or restrict the violating content (story, shared goal, name, avatar, message).
Temporary suspension — of social features or of the whole account, for repeated or more serious violations.
Termination — permanent account closure for grave or persistent violations (see also the Terms & Conditions, "Suspension and Termination").
We may skip steps for severe cases: credible threats, CSAM, doxxing, dangerous medical misinformation aimed at a specific vulnerable user, or illegal content. Where the law requires, we will report content to competent authorities.
When we act, we will tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents us or doing so would compromise safety or an investigation.
5. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake:
Email support@havyt.app within 30 days, from your account email, with the subject "Appeal".
Tell us what action you're appealing and why you believe it was wrong.
A human (not an automated system) will review it and reply with a reasoned decision, normally within 14 days.
An appeal doesn't suspend the enforcement action while it's reviewed, but if we got it wrong we will reverse it and say so. Your statutory rights and remedies (including under consumer law and, where applicable, platform regulation) remain unaffected.
6. Our Role and Limits
We do not pre-moderate all content; we act on reports and on what our safety systems surface.
We are not responsible for advice other users give you. Treat peer content — especially anything health-related — with the same caution as any internet content, and see the "No Medical Advice" sections of our Terms & Conditions and our Medical Disclaimer.
We may update this policy as features or the law change; material changes are notified in-app and versioned through our legal-acceptance system (Terms & Conditions, Section 4).
